    Zurich, 04.12.2024 – xorlab AG is proud to announce the appointment of Candid Wüest as Principal Security Advocate. With over 25 years of experience in the IT security field, Wüest brings a wealth of expertise that will strengthen xorlab's product strategy and drive the company’s future growth in the cybersecurity landscape.

    Before joining xorlab AG, Wüest served as Vice President of Product Management at Acronis where he built EDR, XDR and email security solutions with his team. Prior to that, he spent more than 16 years as the Lead Threat Researcher at Symantec’s Security Response team, where he played a key role in combating global cyber threats. Throughout his career, he has worked with Fortune 500 companies on various projects to enhance their cybersecurity.

    Wüest holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). In addition to his industry roles, he is a cybersecurity advisor to the Swiss federal government, specialized in the cyber protection of critical infrastructure, and member of the security advisory board for the Canton Schaffhausen.

    Wüest holds multiple security patents and is the author of numerous white papers and threat reports. A sought-after speaker at prestigious conferences such as Black Hat and RSAC, Wüest will now represent xorlab at key industry events and professional forums.
